Bracelet for My Daughter

Hello folks! My post today is to show a bracelet I have made for my daughter - I made it for a funky jewellery challenge over on the Crafts Beautiful forum. I made the felt beads - they are strips of felt wrapped around a cocktail stick, and then wrapped with embroidery thread, and then with a string of seed beads fastened around. I do think the red beads I have used are a bit small - I'm on the lookout for some larger ones - then I'll have another go, and maybe make a matching necklace. PS - I can't take credit for the idea - I saw it in one of my Mum's People's Friend magazines a couple of months ago.

I'm also showing a photo of my daughter on her first day at school - she started last week!! And then I thought I'd better include a photo of my son too!

Just Magnolia Challenge #1

Hello, I'm back after cooking tea - what a mish mash that turned out to be - hadn't got the salmon I was expecting to cook in the freezer, only one piece of breaded fish, and forgot to buy potatoes today - doh! Anyway, we're all fed and watered, so I can attempt to post my entry to the first Just Magnolia Challenge - if I manage to enter, it will be by the skin of my teeth!! So here goes -

I loved this sketch when I saw it, but I'm not so happy with my card - don't know why but it just has not turned out as well as I hoped!

Welcome to my blog.

I have finally plucked up courage to create a blog, and this is my first posting to it! I'm not sure how often I will be posting, but hope to do so once or twice a week - it all depends on whether I have managed to create any cards, or do anything worth writing about LOL! We'll see what happens!

I look forward to making new friends this way!
