I Can't Post Images

I've been trying for ages now to post some photos on my blog, but it's just not happening!  I don't know whether it is my computer being extra slow or whether it is something to do with this new rubbish blogger.

I've tried installing Google Chrome but that doesn't seem to have worked.

Any ideas welcome!

Hello - We're Back From Holidays

Well hello everyone - we have been away on holiday for a few days (Sunday to Friday) in Devon.  We had a lovely time, though the weather wasn't brilliant.  But the post holiday blues have set in big time!  Please don't feel sorry for me though, cos I'm feeling sorry enough for myself lol!  We are lucky to have been on holiday at all - I know that there are many people who won't manage to get away this year.  So it's just head up for me and get on with what needs to be done - catch up with washing, ironing and housework.  Richard has already gone back to work today - I really don't like him having to work Sundays but that's just the way it is.

I'm hoping I can get inspired to make something soon, and I really need to find the motivation to change my eating habits and start a decent exercise programme - I've never had such a floppy belly before!!!

Whew - Car's Fixed!

Hello everyone

I thought I should just pop back on to let you know that the car's been fixed - thank goodness for that!

Richard phoned the local garage we use and found out what the likely problem was - and, with a little help from a friend from work, he discovered which fuse had blown and was able to replace it.  Yes - it was just a fuse!  Can you believe one little fuse can cause so much to stop working - the central locking system, interior light, radio, sat nav - they all seem so unconnected to me but what do I know about cars?  .....  Enough not to go fiddling with lights and make them spark lol!

I do have to let you know that, when I spotted Richard with the bonnet of the car up yesterday evening, I rushed outside to see what he was up to, and to check he wasn't doing more damage LOL!

So we are both extremely relieved, and I can be civil to him again. 

BTW, he completely ignored me on Saturday when I told him he couldn't play cricket unless he'd fixed the car - he played, and I was fuming all day!  We're friends again now though LOL!

Not So Wonderful Tonight!!!

Hello All

If you read my post last week, you will know that my husband was wonderful cos he gave me a gorgeous bouquet of flowers for our wedding anniversary.

I said I would probably be using different adjectives to describe him soon, but I did not expect that to be quite this soon!!!

I cannot believe what he has done!  He's playing football this evening, went out and then came back in saying that he was going in someone else's car because there's something wrong with the central locking on our car.  I said to him that it must be the battery in the key but he said "No I think it's something to do with the interior light - there was a spark when I was trying to fix it"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  

WHAT!!!???  What the piggin' hell has he done?  Our car has been in the garage for 2 days this week already - we've had the timing belt changed before we have a motorway trip to make soon.  Why has he been fiddling with something he knows nothing about?  How on earth can the interior light affect the locking system on the car - **swear words**

I can't even type the adjectives I'm using to describe him at the moment!  I'm sooooo mad with him, and he's bogged off to football.  Well I tell you, he is not going to cricket tomorrow until the car is fixed.  Hmmphhh!

I was hoping ranting on here would make me feel better, but I don't!  I think my blood pressure's hit the roof!

A Lovely Surprise

I had a phone call from the receptionist at work this morning to say that I had a delivery - well, the first thing that went through my head was "Oh no, I don't remember ordering again from Jewellery Maker"!!! But when I got down to Reception, this is what was waiting for me



These are from my wonderful husband, for our wedding anniversary today! Aren't they gorgeous? I don't think I deserve him really. And I'll probably be using different adjectives to describe him in a few weeks' time, when there is something I want to do but won't be able to because he'll be playing cricket LOL!

I even showed these to my boss when I was on a video link with him today LOL! But I couldn't bring myself to show off and carry them to school to collect the children!

We're not going out this evening, I think we're having a Chinese takeaway and another quiet night in!

And So I Made One For Eleri...

Hello Lovely Bloggers

I've had another long weekend from work - the children don't go back to school until tomorrow. And it's been another lazy weekend - I just haven't got the energy to do much at the moment.

I did go to a show with my sister on Friday evening at our local theatre, to see Dirty Dancing, which was a medley of songs from the film. I have to admit I've never actually seen the film (is that something I should admit?!), but I did recognise most of the songs. We were encouraged to get up out of our seats and dance and sing along - not me really, but I gave it a go!!! I was just very relieved not to be one of the audience picked to join them on stage to dance!

Yesterday was Richard's birthday - I think he had a good day, but he didn't want to do anything special. He was pleased with his presents. Something else I maybe should not admit? - but I bought him a card from the children and I made him a digital card, which is really not good enough to show to you clever cardmakers!

Anyway, Eleri loved the ribbon bracelet I made last week and she asked if I could make one for her to match one of the new summer dresses she had last week. So here it is:

Andrew has agreed to have a go at golf lessons, first one this evening, so I'd better get him something to eat before we go.

My Latest Make

Hello Everyone - and Happy Easter - I hope you are having a fabulous weekend!

I have been wanting to make a ribbon bracelet for ages, but this weekend is the first chance I've had to do it. This is not my idea - I found the instructions on You Tube here.





...and this is my bracelet in situ - oh boy do I need to put some handcream on!
