My First Bind It All Project

Yay! I've managed to make something using the Bind It All machine I bought with my birthday money! I made this notebook as a gift for my goddaughter to match the card (which I posted on here last week). I was really pleased with my first attempt, and my goddaughter loved it too (thank goodness!). Think I'll be making more of these for gifts in the future.

We had a lovely afternoon on Tuesday when we took Cate's birthday present! I know, it was late (her birthday was last Friday), but I could not get hold of my friend all over the weekend to arrange to go over! Anyway, we went over for lunch on Tuesday and had a fabulous afternoon {hugs, waves and thanks to Lisa!!!}. It was so nice to see my friend and catch up - we don't see each other often enough!

PS - sorry about the quality of the photo - I'm obviously not the best photographer!

Lots of love

Just Magnolia Challenge #5

Yay!! I have managed to make a card for the Just Magnolia Challenge this week. This card is for my goddaughter, who is going to be 10 on Friday ... where on earth does time go?!! Happy Birthday Cate - hope you have a fantastic day!

I have cut around Tilda's legs and then placed a square of paper underneath and left her legs 'loose' so that it looks as though she is sitting on a box - I'm really pleased with how that worked! My son was impressed when he saw it too - he told me "You are talented Mum" - aawwww, I was so touched!

I haven't added a separate sentiment as the paper has Happy Birthday text on it, so I have added Sakura Clear Stardust pen over the text to act as the sentiment.

Items I have used:
Image - Tilda with Puppy from Magnolia Stamps
Papers - From Crafters Companion Occasions and Cute Companions CDs
Flowers and Gems - Papermania
Ribbon and Heart Bead - From Stash

Birthday Card for My Mum

This is the card I made for my Mum for her birthday - hope you liked your cards and had a lovely birthday Mum!

I have based the layout on the Just Magnolia Challenge #3. I knew I was not going to be able to get time to enter the challenge, but I loved the sketch, and so I was able to use one of my new gorgeous Miss Anya stamps. I have coloured her with watercolour pencils (and I know I've got lots to learn about colouring images - my colouring looks very amateur when compared with lots of other crafters' blogs!!).
I just love the green backing paper - wish I'd got more of it, but it was in a kit, and there's not much left. I have a thing about green at the moment - (I'm looking for something gorgeous to buy to wear that is green, but haven't managed to find it yet lol! - just gotta keep looking!). I love the swirl in the corner too - think I'm going to use that idea again!

Items I used:

Papers and Swirl Stamp - Hot Off The Press from Cardmakers Ultimate Floral Pack
Image - Miss Anya from The Greeting Farm
Ribbon, Gems, Wooden Hearts and Charm - from my Stash

Hope I don't have to leave it so long before my next post.
